What it does

Zen Daily Press—published in Traditional Chinese as 「每日問候圖」—opens with a finished composition instead of an empty editor. It automatically loads the day’s quotation and background image, adds the date, and presents a square preview. A visitor can keep the supplied photograph or upload a personal JPEG, PNG, or WebP image.

The editor provides two useful formats. Quote mode creates a calm daily greeting card with vertically arranged Traditional Chinese text. Calendar mode turns the same visual language into a monthly calendar. The background can be repositioned so that the subject remains visible behind the text and frame.

A short path from opening to sharing

The product is intentionally narrow: choose a mode, adjust the background if needed, and download a JPG. The generated card includes the date, the selected content, and a small project mark with a QR code. Everything happens in the browser, so using a personal photo does not require learning a general-purpose design application.

This project explores a practical interface question: how much editing does a daily-use creative tool actually need? Starting from a complete design removes most decisions while still leaving control over the one element people are most likely to personalize—the photograph.

Who it is for

It is designed for people who regularly send morning greetings to family, friends, or community groups and want something more personal than forwarding an existing image. The Traditional Chinese typography, lunar-date context, calm imagery, and direct JPG export are all chosen for that everyday sharing habit.
